Use the website libgen.is to see if a pdf copy of the textbook is available from the site (use adblock.) I get the majority of my textbooks from this site alone, and it's saved me hundreds of dollars. I highly, highly recommend it.

If not, there are people on r/textbooks who will sell you a pdf copy for cheap, and I mean an $80 book for $15 cheap. One person I know of is itailexpert@gmail.com. It sounds a little sketchy, but I've honestly had a good experience with it. Just make sure you have Paypal, and always pay with "goods and services" to protect yourself.
